New web site not ready for prime time.

At 3am this morning the old web site was being displayed.

At 3:30 this am logged into the new web site.
Have to click on 2 sign In buttons to get to the first page of sign in.
Enter email or account number and you have to select verify or whatever the term was.
Gets to the password page and again you have to verify.

    Tried the following links:

Link to Board of Directors Meeting Summary 06-26-25 – not working

Link to Board of Directors Meeting Summary 06-26-25 – broken

Link to Member/Board Exchange – Current Topics 09/08/2025 – broken

Link to Technology Committee – last meeting posted was may 2025

Can’t hit the back arrow from the Technology minutes to return to previous page.

I realize this is the first day of the new web site, but it should be a lot better than the above.

Hmmmm. My computer is so old (sort of like me) that all I get at these links is a blank screen. I'd hoped that they would make some consessions to folks with old equiptment because, .... well you know why.

Keep trying periodically, I have activated my account, wasn’t easy earlier today!

However, just went to the site, saw “Welcome Back, my name” and my RCSC member card photo avatar!

Lots more content available. Not all…patience, it’s just taking some time.

If by "periodically" you mean "NOW" I still just get a blank screen.

    Shouldn’t have to call.
We were told the web site was ready to roll out. NOT So.
If they wanted members to do the testing they should have made the new site available to members.
Nothing drives people away from web sites faster than broken links.

    Carptrash.
It’s not your computer. I have an old laptop and the site has major issues.

You may want to clean your cache or what I did when I couldn't get on was to go to a Google Search page (or whatever you use to browse the web) and type in RCSC website. When it came up, I chose it and started over.

I made the mistake of not seeing the words FIRST TIME LOGGING IN down BELOW the word NEXT. Once I did that correctly, I was okay.

The website is not completely up to date, however, as you mentioned, SCR. You noted that the Board meetings were not updated since May. I discovered that if you click on the link to inquire about candidate requirements, you get an error message. Hopefully someone is still checking out the OOPS!

    (
    RCSC Board of Directors
Property owners in Sun City AZ who are at least 55 years of age and hold an RCSC Member Card are eligible to serve on the Board of Directors and vote in elections. (Please see Article VII, Section 4 in the RCSC Corporate Bylaws for the complete listing of Candidate Requirements). Directors serve three-year terms. Three directors are elected each year. The Board Office is located on the lower level at Lakeview Center.)

There are many non working links.
For 300,000 we should have gotten something that worked.

    Jean,
After you log in, go to “my account,” tap resources. You’ll find lots of things, including Board information.

The link posted in EO's post above does not work at 3am this morning.
The website address for the web site is supposed to be suncityaz.org
Both EO's link and the link to suncityaz.org both produce a page with
    the spinning wheel of death.

Tried logging in later and was finally able to get to the login screen.
    Still broken links.
Click on Login in upper right corner.
Goes to another page where you have to click on login again.
Next screen is a LOGIN again asking for your email address or member id.
Cloud Flare box already says success with no email address or member id.
Password screen comes up without password being entered and again it says Success.
Keyed in Password and it eventually got to the Dashboard.

I watched the Mountain View presentation on live stream last night, it went well. I did not try and sign in and ask questions so cannot speak to how easy it was. I know they took questions from members watching and i know those who did ask are way smarter with technology than i am.

With that out of the way, this "launch" was another missed opportunity. It never fails to amaze me how little people understand the critical nature of member involvement. Let me make a wild ass assumption; there are hundreds of RCSC members as well versed in technology as SCR in our community.

We know the technology/outreach committee worked long and hard on the new website. We know TEG was the fly in the ointment and overcoming some of the challenges has been a bugger. I watched the site preview following the Exchange meeting and liked a lot of what i saw. I also talked to a couple of younger members who were not as impressed. I guess i am easier to please.

Back to the point SCR made, there should have been a "soft launch" with a dedicated group of members who would have assessed and identified the bugs before the hard launch. Oh the irony; using the technology/outreach committee to reach out and ask/invite tech savvy members to help them fine tune the website.

That's how you build/grow the community. Using the "experts" to help. Ben Roloff told me years ago, "ask for help." It works.

I would take this a step further and should have said it earlier; wouldn't it have been cool to have a session where members could come in to view the new site with said "experts" to help walk them through the login? It wouldn't be a business meeting, but a fun gathering where members get helped and showcase their efforts.

I need to thank Jean for her very user friendly written instructions on how to get into Youtube, making sure to be on a google login, and how to get to the interactive site on the RCSC homepage. It made all of the difference to me personally, to achieve a smooth experience.

I watched the live stream and found it well done. Kudos to the RCSC audio/visual department for making this a most pleasurable experience. It was with their hard work and effort that this whole live stream event came about. Are there still a few bugs to work out, sure, but they are details easily dealt with.

I look forward to doing this more often, with voice interaction, as in two way conversation via live stream. I am sure it is in the works and will be available very soon.
