Yeah, but why does it take do long?

    We're halfway thru 2025, so where's 2024?

FYI, tax year Jan. 1 - Dec. 31, 2024 would have been filed in April, 2025, unless RCSC asked for an extension.

I think RCSC Inc. is filing as required, not intentionally keeping the information given to the IRS from Members.

It takes the IRS a while to review the submitted 990 and various required schedules.

Then the electronic document is made available for online access.

Just depends on the various companies as to when they make them available to anyone.

FYI, how many times do I have to tell you that 990s are useless for accurate financial reporting and the health of RCSC. You really want the CPA audited 12/31/24 financial statement with CPA notes and supporting schedules. Tom, you really need a class on Finance 101 because you are embarrassing yourself here not understanding finances. A class would certainly make you more knowledgeable and erudite.

As for salaries, no corporation worth its salt ever reveal salaries nor do employees, especially at the management level, reveal their salaries. I doubt during your working years you ran through the company’s hallways saying “I make this much per year and these are the perks I receive.”

In the instance matter, that involves a position that reports directly to the Board, therefore is a personnel matter which is discussed in executive session as would any other matters.

Look at Banner Health and Sun Health 990's. You will see executive compensation.

    This may help you Dave.

So if we know these salaries are actually being published in the 990's, then who should be the one to be embarrassed?

Hmmm? Not only was the salary of the General Manager posted on that 2023 990, so was the salary of the Director of Finance!

    Imagine that Dave!

Pretty flipping amazing. IRS rules say the top salaried people have to be reported along with the officers. I learned that in Finance 101.

FYI, then why haven’t you noticed these exhibits in the past when you had the 990s? Did we not download everything or maybe you were not into extraneous paperwork or you just didn’t know what they were.
I talked about financial analysis which is one of your non existent skills but yapping about financials seems to be one of your skills.

I worked for a private corporation which salaries were not discussed. Besides I was focused on making money for the corporation which is why I was hired, amongst other things.
Where did you take a class in Finance 101, University of Post Toasties? Maybe your Northwestern University MBA hubby gave you the answers.

Wow! It really is a sickness with you. You can't converse with anybody who may have a different opinion without making-up names.

    Kinda like your TDS.

Dave: For the sake of your sanity and everyone following TOSC, step away from the keyboard and stop the insults. The 990's, while not as in depth as the audited statements, in fact does provide information not available to those of us not serving on the finance and budget committee. I would and have argued nothing in our community should be done in secrecy (save for those few items protected by state statute). They also are slow in posting, often being several years behind.

Those 990's provide a wealth of information and are available for viewing on several web sites and for any and every non-profit organization. Some far more interesting to read and see just how lucrative some of those paid positions are; Sun City isn't one of them, by the way. Communities like ours have salary ranges are far below what for-profit corporations pay. The biggest abuses come surrounding long standing foundations with highly paid positions. Oddly, our Sun City Foundation has no paid positions and to my knowledge, never has had.
