It was on May 10th. Not sure of all details yet. It was on Spot Crime and a neighbor of the person posted about it on Facebook.

    Type: Assault
    Date: 05/10/2025 2:55 PM
Description: HOMICIDE. Incident Report #: IR25011683
Address: 10800 BLOCK OF W CAMELOT CIR, Sun City, AZ

I would like to add I haven't seen anything in the news, but they tend to keep things quiet until they know for sure what happened.

My gosh, you know my husband and I were heading to Mass when we saw some sheriff vehicles coming into our area. We thought it was probably a domestic but a homicide! Wow. Thank you for letting us know.

It's my understanding it was a murder suicide.

Before we speculate it was an evil task, perhaps it was a loving mercy killing?

One terminally ill person suffering on deaths door and a loving spouse who can't bear to watch and think about living alone?

Just say'n. Not all things are bad.

Was that what happened? Like I said nothing in the news. I was not speculating, just reporting what I read. If your speculation is true IMO Hospice at home and Morphine is much more gentle and kinder. Hospice Nurses are Angels in disguise.

I have no way of knowing. Just pointing out that not all things happen for a bad reason.

You already live here. Marketing is aimed at the people we would like to move here. Do you realize how many people come out here for Spring Training? For golf tournaments?

FYI, a credible neighbor where the tragedy occurred has shared it was a murder suicide. Assault and homicide involved at the residence.

There was no criminal threat to the community as posted on Facebook where speculations ran the gamut like a large Swat team busted a motorized bicycle chop shop!

All very sad. for the victims, family and the immediate neighborhood.

Saw nothing on FB at all. The spot crime report did say assault and homicide. All very sad and scary. 2 assaults within 5 houses on either side of me. One was an angry son, the other guy was stabbed. House is empty now, no clue if the person lived. Too much, too close.

    Eileen,
Please take heart in knowing that one’s belief in Arizona can wane from time to time. Especially when presented with particularly harsh or negative views of the community you live in. Please remember that the news delivered is transitory and may have been delivered in a manner which may not have been suitable to the facts.
You, yourself, have the ability to be the bigger person, and continue to have faith in the belief that there are people still working in your favor. There are people who support your beliefs and ideals and are still trying, valiantly, behind the scenes, to see some of your suggestions brought forth to fruition.
Please don’t lose hope that there are good people working on getting good things accomplished in Sun City. Don’t let the naysayers and their repeated attempts to belittle your community have the upper hand in what you have always trusted and have believed in. I, for one, believe there is a brighter future ahead. We just have to be willing to trust the board knows what the next steps are, and do them. My money is on a better board of directors doing what they know in their hearts needs to be done to ensure a successful outcome for the members.
So please don’t be so disheartened Eileen, there are good people with good intentions constantly trying to make Sun City a better place to live.

Josie P, why did you find it necessary to pull my listing on Indeed for? You are not a hiring manager nor a Human Resources Officer of any company. The information contained on the site is for the use of HR professionals who are actively seeking to hire someone for a paid position.
This seems to be another example of overstepping boundaries that have no relevance whatsoever to every day living of my life. Rather, an attempt to create ill will and malice. Since there is no valid justification for pursuing such information, any attempt to reach out to any former employer or company will be considered malicious intent with the purpose to cause harm to myself. You do not have a valid placement to offer, with a stated salary offer, hours of work, or specific employment criteria sought by a specific job opening listed on Indeed.
I will be notifying Indeed of this security breach, as you are not a hiring manager looking to fill a vacant position.

    Carole,
I appreciate your kind words. My concerns aren't necessarily related to the SC operations. I am not happy with the degradation of the surrounding area around us. Let me ask you a question, would you live south of Grand Ave.? With that said, I've worked hard to keep my neighborhood safe, clean and secure. I realize the goal is to get cash home buyers to invest and live in SC. I do support that, but with all the infighting of this community and simply weighing in on these posts, I am wondering how weighing in on these posts translates to BOD in charge and the goal setting and real long term planning that we desperately need in order to make the engine go.
I still choose to try to be part of the solution rather than the problem. I do still choose to support our leaders in charge, but we are up against a lot of challenges because of crime, poverty and a lot of apathy from people actually living in here who just live here, they are no longer living the retirement 'good life', some are, but many aren't. I have retired poor neighbors around me who never come out of there house. I am concerned for these folks too.

Why are you accusing me of doing this? What the hell is Indeed? You love accusing me of security breaches. Maybe you should try asking people rather than accusing. You are the one overstepping bounds, creating ill will and malice.

I hope you have proof of this accusation. I looked up indeed and I don't have an account, never heard of it and I have never had to use a job search engine. The hateful rhetoric you use towards me and the accusations are getting very old and tiresome.

    Eileen,
I do live south of Grand in Phase 1, off of Sun City Blvd. I see what you are alluding to. I see the amount of houses being turned into rental properties. I see the way people don’t bother to stop at stop signs. I see how our roads are mere cut throughs to get somewhere else and at speeds that sometimes exceed 50 mph. There was a red small SUV that didn’t yield to the other car, which had the right of way. Instead, they took off like crazy doing 48 mph down the road. How do I know this? Because I caught up with the car, and stayed with them. Speed between 48-50mph. This is becoming the norm.
I have written before about stopping the amount of rentals being created in our part of town. No one wants to impose moratoriums, but the neighborhood is indeed showing signs of decay. Until such time the amount of money it costs to buy and move in here is increased to make it not so profitable for flipping of the homes, it’s going to continue. We need an incentive developed to attract buyers who are going to live in the home as their primary residence for a minimum of 5 years. Start to turn the tide of flipping these properties into rentals.

How many Josephine P, retired Sun Health Employees are there around the area? This is the name posted as having searched my information. This isn’t you? Just a random coincidence?

If you make the cost to move here unaffordable for the average income retiree the only people that will be able to afford to purchase here will be the businesses like flippers and those who invest in rental properties.

Must be a random coincidence. My employment with Sun Health ended in 2017, and like I said I don't have an account with indeed. Didn't know what it was till now.
