Have not had a vaccine since I retired in 2017. It's such a personal choice. I spoke at length with my doc about them, Covid, RSV and a cold have such similar symptoms and the length is about the same, 2 weeks or so. My personal experience with vaccines (I had to get them because I worked in a hospital) is I was sick every year. Other than sinus I have not been sick since, and if I ever had covid I was not aware of it. I may decide to get them sometime in the future. I did find this on-line: The RSV vaccine provides immunity that lasts for at least two RSV seasons after a single dose. Clinical trials have shown durable protection against lower respiratory tract disease for about 23 months, though some immunity may wane over time. While the vaccine doesn't provide complete immunity, it significantly reduces the severity and duration of illness if infection does occur. Vaccines for Older Adults | RSV | CDC Hope this helps.
I had the RSV vaccine in the fall of 2023. I had two grandchildren born at that time and their pediatricians recommended I get it, the flu shot and the Covid booster before holding the babies. I haven't had another vaccine since. Ask your doctor or pharmacist how long the immunity lasts. I was under the impression it might be two years before I needed another one because I am healthy. It may be different depending on your age and health condition. Also I had no reaction from any of the vaccines.
I have never had two vaccines at the same time. At least not since I was a kid. Just cautious I guess. I had no reaction from the Shingles shot either. Hope it works well for you.
