Josie, so he kissed a lot of butt. The space program is apolitical for a reason, Butch did this so he and Sunny didn’t get fired by Elon and having to pay their own ways back. Trump needed this before he sold out the Ukrainians to Putin and the Russkies.

Is it impossible for you to give credit where credit is due? President Trump and Elon Musk were able to get the astronauts back to earth. President Biden and NASA did not get it done. Those are facts, not opinions.

It was amazing. Unfortunately, Dave is the most negative person I have ever encountered. Trump could find a cure for cancer, and he would hate that. The ex Mrs. Dave did not even keep his name.

Hate to burst your bubble but if you think back to last summer, Biden announced that the astronauts would be returning at this time on a Space X vehicle. Just another example of Trump sucking off something that was arranged and public knowledge, like the Cease fire in Gaza that expired last week was put together by Biden’s State Department and Anthony Blinken before Trump took office. But to show what bullshitting doofus he is, he claimed HE was responsible for the cease fire and was put together BEFORE he took office, which is actually a violation of the Logan Act as only a sitting president can conduct foreign policy, that and he was lying as always. And you two actually voted for this lying, sexual assaulting, tax cheat, 34 felony convictions to run this country?

In my profession, we measure outcomes, not promises or intentions. Outcome: The astronauts were brought home safely in the first sixty days of President Trump's second term. Or, in colloquial terms, the proof is in the pudding.

It’s not like Trump went up in the rocket and capsule and then flew the crew home. In other words, he did nothing.

    Dave,
If President Trump actually did go up in the rocket to rescue the astronauts, you wouldn't give him credit anyway. You are hopeless!

Dave can't even figure how to open a link on his IPad because he doesn't have a mouse. No wonder so many of his answers don't make sense. If there is a link it's all over. He asked me how, told him to google it.

Janet,I’m not hopeless, I am a realist, besides he would have exceeded the weight limit for the space craft. It’s like Elon and Space X rockets, he hired a bunch of laid off NASA engineers who had vast experience in the area to design and test the rockets. He had nothing to do with the actual rocket, he just bankrolled a company. On the other hand, Dr. Jonas Salk was instrumental in developing the polio vaccine and its rollout. He was instrumental in developing the oral vaccine which I was quite relived to see. I hated needles, something I have somehow overcome. I give Dr. Salk a lot of credit for attempting to eradicate this terrible disease. I believe Dr. Salk did receive a Nobel Prize in Medicine for his work.

I believe that Trump’s efforts for a Nobel Prize in Economics is in danger as well his effort for a Nobel Peace prize as he cozy up to Vlad Putin and war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu. The committee is sensitive to things like that.

Are we great yet or winning?

We are great! And I believe we will win on many fronts. I truly doubt that President Trump will win a Nobel Peace Prize but I am glad he is trying to achieve peace in parts of the world where there are conflicts and wars.

I don't really know how Dr. Jonas Salk entered into this conversation. I am only a little younger than you so I remember lining up for the Salk vaccine. Good excuse to eat a sugar cube! Seriously, I had a first cousin die of polio in 1952 after being on an Iron Lung. I still put a small pinwheel on his grave every year. I have also known people who have suffered some of the symptoms of polio later in life. A bad disease!

I lined up for the shot in first grade and nearly fainted when injected. I hated needles then. Long story. Throughout elementary and high school I had at least one classmate per year who suffered the effects from polio from somewhat mild to incredibly bad. That made me realize how lucky I was.

My cousin. We have not kept in touch, but I know she won a lawsuit against Sears for wider aisles, and also a town in Maryland because whoever designed the sidewalks 'forgot' to include wheelchair ramps to cross streets. Now I need to call her, thanks. She has been amazing throughout her life.
