We talk often of the importance of education in Sun City. With that in mind, let me supply this tidbit for those mildly interested in the events of the day:
Reminder: The Presidential Records Act and the Federal Records Act require preservation of official communications within the executive branch. As the National Archives explains it, the PRA,

Establishes preservation requirements for official business conducted using non-official electronic messaging accounts: any individual creating Presidential records must not use non-official electronic messaging accounts unless that individual copies an official account as the message is created or forwards a complete copy of the record to an official messaging account. (A similar provision in the Federal Records Act applies to federal agencies.)

I'll say no more other than a nod to one of my favorite TV characters; Sgt. Schultz from Hogan's Hero's and his oft stated:
    "I know nothink."

So are you finally admitting that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had broken the law when she had classified documents on her personal computer? Or do those rules only apply to Republicans?

I'm perfectly fine if they through her in prison along with Hegseth, Gabbert, Rubio and the rest of the crew on the Signal app they were using.

Good to go brother. Line em up and knock em down.

Well, the shoe is on a different foot now and we'll see if our side will decide if it's prosecutable or no big deal as in Hillary and Biden's case.

I suspect this will get swept under the carpet as in the past.

But it is amazing how things like this are no big deal to the Dem's when it's their side violating the law.

Sorry i had to step out and get Ben's golf car, going to try and sell it for Mary Rose.

On the drive back, i was thinking about those endless "lock her up" chants and trump's rallies the first time around. If memory serves me, it was for having her own server at her house. I don't remember the details, i just remember questioning how anyone that smart, could be the stupid?

Once past that, my mind went really to a dark place. How about we gather the whole bunch (we can throw Hunter in as well as Hillary and the whole Signal crew) of them and put them on a plane to Gitmo? How about, El Salvador?

As we watch the entire concept of "due process" flushed down the toilet, why not? Hell, Hegseth has tattoos, which is one of the criteria for the plane ride to hell; if i'm not mistaken. Obviously this is said tongue cheek, but how far removed are we from the civil liberties we all enjoy...or should expect?

You always throw Biden's name in the mix Tom and i'm still waiting for the "proof" of his crime family involvement. He was a doddering old man, but if that were a crime, half the Senate would need be imprisoned. And for the true lovers of fairness and justice who have been clamoring for Hunter to get his for profiting off dad's name, don't even get me started on Jared and spouse profiting while sitting at the hand of the president.

Yesterday's news bro. How about we end by agreeing on something. See, i've come around; term limits are a good thing. Open to how long based on senate, house, presidency, but good lord we need folks who aren't systematically rooted in their respective parties.

I'm all for term limits. Serving was never intended to be a lifelong career, just ask George Washington not FDR. You were suppose to do your time then go back home to your family and the farm.

Problem is, you'll never get congress to vote on something like that because that would kill the goose that lays the golden eggs. Many get elected while living on moderate means but come out as multi-millionaires! How does that happen on a fixed salary?

I believe we have found common ground? The rest will take care of itself and there's nothing we can do about it.

Remember Article I, Section 8, clauses 16 and 17 and the Second Amendment in relation to that part of the Constitution? Also look up what made up the army from the Revolution through WWI, you might find it interesting or rewatch Glory again.

The Signal app has been used during several administrations. This wannabe journalist and Trump hater lied about the contents. The transcript has been released. I am old enough to remember when the Biden Administration kept his cognitive decline a secret for 4 years.

It it wasn't so pathetic, it just might just be funny: And now this message brought to you from the party representing family values:

The score card is fascinating: Trump, three fives/five children. (We won't mention the countless affairs).

The real juggernaut, the man to be most admired leaves trump in his dust. Clearly, this is a man i would not want to hold up as my father of the year figure:
Leon Musk: 4 different women fathering 14 children (not all of them his wife).

I get it, these masculine men have to prove their prowess and dominance over women, but what the eh, whatever floats their boat?

The truly fascinating story line on Musk, the richest man in the world (reportedly), is currently in a court battle where he is fighting with one of the women (Grimes) and three of his children over which state they reside for custody purposes. We know a few years back he moved some of the family to a compound in Texas. Interesting to note, that state (Texas) caps child support at just under $3000 per month. The mother has filed suit in California where they have a much more aggressive child support structure based on a parents ability to pay.

Far be it from me to judge, but given his vast wealth, i find it odd. But then given 14 children from 4 different women, i find that a touch off as well. Hardly the kind of man i would make my everyday hero, but who am i to judge?

And yet here you are judging. If I recall correctly, you have some skeletons in your closet. You must be scraping the bottom of the barrel resorting to attacking people's personal lives. Father of the year? Do you have children? It's pretty odd to judge something you have never done. If you do have children you must not be proud as you have never once mentioned them/him/her. Biden sure did a bang up job with Hunter and are you good with him showering with his teen age daughter?

    Glass houses Bill.

It makes me laugh! What people don't understand, it's not the man, or in this case men's personal lives and dalliances that attracted people to Trump, Musk, or the MAGA movement, it's their common sense policies that attract people.

Lord knows we all live imperfect lives, as I'm sure you would agree, but that doesn't necessarily have an effect on other decisions you may make. It's a pretty cheap shot to criticize those men for that reason. "He who is without sin cast the first stone."

I would like to understand how the Left can justify the open border policy, or the opposition to deport these bad illegal aliens, or why it's okay for men to compete in women's sports, or transition children without the consent of their parents?

As long as we are chatting so civilly, i'll share the final paragraph from an article and then provide the link to the source. It's an interesting read from a guy who in his work life has dealt with cyber/internet security. I followed the blog for years, stopping just after the first of the year. I still get the emails with the link and recently started reading some of them again and discarding others. He had this to say this morning in summation:
"The TL;DR here is that the Signal conversation should not have happened at all. Never mind the fact that somehow Jeffrey Goldberg got added to the group. That’s not the problem. That’s not why I called for SECDEF Hegseth and National Security Advisor Waltz to be fired. They violated OPSEC, they violated government records retention, privacy, and confidentiality rules. They should know better. They should be fired for it. They had no excuses. Don’t believe the BS."

Today's column was stunningly good and is from a guy who is way further to the right than many i follow. It's worth the time to read and understand what happened and why so much of what is being reported is BS. The link is here.

The link is to a blank G-Mail account. BTW why didn't anyone get fired for 13 dead soldiers in the failed Afghanistan withdrawal?

So you will only read articles if they fit your narrative.

Where did i criticize anyone Tom? I'm simply asking questions? You know like trump does. No accusations other than the irony of the party of family values (GOP) being enamored by men and by all appearances who have little interest in those traditional family values.

Then there's that other thing Tom, i freely admit i am a sinner and need God's forgiveness. It wasn't me who told an interviewer i didn't need forgiveness, that was your guy trump. As far as Musk, i have no idea of what he believes in other than worshiping the almighty dollar. I don't know the bible all that well, but there's that parable about throwing the money changers out of the temple; right?

Open boarders; really? How many times have the immigration issues been before the congress and no one wants to solve them (and i mean no one). This struggle should have been resolved during the Gang of Eight, but of course the house majority leader wouldn't let it go floor for a vote. Any guesses on who the majority leader was?

Finally, men in women's sports isn't an issue for me, fight to the death if you want over it. Kind of like transitioning children without parents knowledge; how many of those cases are there? Nope not minimizing it, your party takes mole hills and makes mountains; good press i guess for the red meat crowd.

Finally, another one of those core GOP values was you know, the constitution and the rule of law. Now, it's meaningless. Throwing/deporting those gang members is again great theater. And, frankly i'm just fine with it. What i'm not fine with is the inconvenient notion the government/ICE should have to show who those gang members are and prove beyond gang tattoos and social media posts they are bad actors...you know Tom...DUE PROCESS.

No criticism here! The funny thing is you are starting to adopt Dave Speak.

Come on Bill, I'm smarter than that. You wouldn't have mentioned those things unless you were trying to denigrate them?
But there already are laws on the books that cover immigration that were not being followed. And as we saw, new laws weren't required to stop the invasion, but a new President was and it stopped. Seems to me national security is the most important responsibility of the President and you're President failed to honor his oath of office.
But it is to those female athletes who have trained all their lives to become top in their field only to be beaten by a boy who identifies as a girl! The "gender" issue is a fallacy. It's not about "gender" it's about "sex." You're either XX or XY, that's it!
And that is the law. These gang members are here illegally and are classified as terrorists and they need to go.

That statement shows such a deep misunderstanding of American history that it boggles the mind. To list all the events more "vile & disgusting" in our history would take pages, but here is a start:
The Mountain Meadows Massacre, the Lawrence, Kansas massacre, the Baxter Springs Massacre, the Fort Pillow massacre and the list goes on and on. And have you forgotten the My Lai massacre? These all each have more than 100 people killed. What happened in Afghanistan was terrible, but "the most vile and disgusting event in this country's history" . . . . .please.
