I think it's already been proven that much of what Trump has been accused of is false and fell apart in court. It also appears that those who brought those charges are much more corrupt than Trump. And to take it even farther and impeach a president who no longer is in power??? Give me a break. If that isn't just pure hatred nothing is.

I don't hear the Dem's condemning the destruction of Tesla's! Or when they were burning down Portland, CNN was reporting a basically peaceful demonstration while flames were erupting in the background!

Isn't it funny how everybody just loved Trump when he was just a businessman in New York and had a top rated TV show. Even Oprah wanted him to run for President until he actually did. And oh, how the Dem's loved Elon Musk and his electric car when everybody wanted the New Green Deal!

Now they are both hated because they are exposing the corruption that exists in our government, and yes, on both sides.

And what did we learn today? We learned that Obama (aka community organizer) was pretending to send USAID aid dollars overseas but they were actually being used to train "rent-a-mobs."

And the media on Left is simply incredible! You've got a guy in the name Jake Tapper who covered-up Joe Biden's mental acuity and serious decline for 4 years only to come out with a book telling the world how bad Joe really was! You can't make this crap up. He had to be writing that book while Joe was still in office and CNN was still hiding the truth because books just aren't published that fast!

I believe the jury is still out on J6 and time will prove me right. We already know that Pelosi blames herself for not accepting Trump's offer of National Guard troops. Days before January 6, 2021, President Trump met with senior Pentagon leaders urging them to do their jobs to protect lives and property. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Mark Milley, recalls a conversation between the Acting Secretary of Defense Chris Miller, and President Trump:

Milley: “The President just says, ‘Hey, look at this. There’s going to be a large amount of protestors here on the 6th, make sure that you have sufficient National Guard or Soldiers to make sure it’s a safe event.’… [POTUS said] I don’t care if you use Guard, or Soldiers, active duty Soldiers, do whatever you have to do. Just make sure it’s safe.' [SecDef] Miller responds by saying, 'Hey, we’ve got a plan, and we’ve got it covered.'”

On January 5, the Secretary of the Army, Ryan McCarthy, placed unprecedented restrictions on DCNG Commander Major General William Walker to prevent any movement to the Capitol without Secretary McCarthy’s explicit permission on January 6 and 7.

On January 6, 2021, the outer perimeter on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol was breached by rioters at 12:53pm. The DCNG arrived five hours later. Click here to view the timeline.

These transcripts prove President Trump’s senior Pentagon leaders were focused on OPTICS, instead of doing their job, as the Capitol was breached:

Miller: “There was absolutely – there is absolutely no way I was putting U.S. military forces at the Capitol, period.”

Director of the Army Staff, Lieutenant General Walter Piatt: “Was optics a concern for us as we prepared to use soldiers downtown in Washington D.C? Absolutely.”

As “optics” concerns were being discussed and Secretary McCarthy claims he was ‘developing a plan’, the DCNG was ready to move, less than 2 miles from the Capitol – awaiting Secretary McCarthy’s authorization.

Walker’s General Counsel, Colonel Earl Matthews: “We were seeing the Congress of the United States being overrun, and the Guard – and the Capitol Police, the MPD, they need help. We had people at the D.C. Armory who are able to help, and they’re not moving. They’re not allowed to move.”

DCNG Command Sergeant Major Michael Brooks: “They were ready to go, and they just couldn’t understand why they were still sitting there. Literally sitting on a bus, just waiting to drive to the Capitol and do the best they could do to support Capitol Police.”

At 3:04pm, Miller provided verbal approval to Secretary McCarthy for immediate deployment of the DCNG. What was Secretary McCarthy doing between receiving this approval, and 5:08pm, when the order eventually reaches the D.C. National Guard? Why didn’t he communicate this approval for a full two hours?

At 3:18pm, Secretary McCarthy told Congressional Democrat Leadership that the DC National Guard had the “green light” and “is moving”. Two hours would pass before Secretary McCarthy’s deployment order would ACTUALLY be communicated to the DCNG.

In these vital hours, the DCNG had been trying but was unable to reach Secretary McCarthy.

DCNG Adjutant General Aaron Dean: “[Walker] tried to call Secretary McCarthy three times between 2:30 and 5pm. He said, ‘I haven’t heard from him all day.’ When he tried to call his cell phone, it went straight to voicemail.”

This discussion is pointless. January 6th was a horrible day for America. Letting hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens enter our country unvetted was insane. Sending billions of dollars overseas for questionable projects while letting our own citizens fend for themselves is ridiculous. Using Social Security funds for other programs is unconscionable but has been going on for decades no matter who was president or controlled Congress. Many Congressmen, including Republican Mitch McConnell and Democrat Nancy Pelosi, seem to have profited immensely while serving in DC. The $36+ Trillion national debt is out of control. Both parties are responsible for that. Many of the people pardoned by President Biden and President Trump should still be behind bars or held responsible for whatever they did. We, as US citizens and voters, have allowed this to happen. Everyone is to blame! I am leaving this thread and won't be reading anything others decide to post.

I am with Janet. Done here. You will never be correct and I will never be wrong.

 

I'll make a rare exception and respond to a poster i mostly ignore, especially since she told us all she was "done here" (don't hold your breath).

It's truly a teachable moment captured in the remark quoted above. I've written it more times than i can remember; "this is just one man's opinion." That's what i have said repeatedly and while i have the courage of my convictions, they are just my opinions. I can detail history as i remember it, both recent and not so recent, but it's always just what i remember.

On the other hand, and the reason i struggle with some of those on the right who think trump is infallible, it's because most of us that have the capacity to be honest understand he is a mere mortal. In fact, a deeply flawed one at that. Which is exactly why i made the point regarding his remarks on asking God for forgiveness, he is incapable of admitting his faults or failures' even to God (how arrogant is that?).

But wait, it gets worse. Josie's remark's about "never being wrong" is classic trump-think-speak. I've been more than willing to let history decide if this whole tariffs debacle is going to leave us as a country swimming in cash. That was literally his answer for every question asked about the economy, taxes and social ills. Tariff's would be the salvation/solution...barrels of money flowing into the country from all those scoundrels cheating us.

Maybe? But the reality is the vast majority of economists and financial gurus have all told him it won't work. Is there an outside chance trump is smarter than all of the experts? We'll see and then we can decide who was right and who was wrong? That's more than fair from my liberal perspective.

There's the difference between those of us on the left and the hard core MAGA. In their eyes trump will always be right. And of course, it will always be someone else's fault when he fails. Blame and ownership simply isn't in his lexicon and after reading the above remark from the poster, hers either.
