What is the process? I don’t trust whatever process is being used. Nor do I trust glitzy presentations. Just seems like the status quo trying to move forward. More shall be revealed I hope.

I thought they spelled it out about ac clearly as possible Tom. By using the Mission, Vision and Value's statement along with the data available (which has always been questionable), it looks to me like the next step in the process is adding members voices. That works for me, but we'll see when special interest groups start lobbying for their wants.

I'm curious about your remarks Tom. It's pretty clear to me the SAC's efforts were solid. Then we held town hall meetings where individuals created their vision for Mountain View which stalled it dead in it's tracks; only to be revived by a couple of board members who believed they knew what was best for us.

I have more faith in the community having a voice (the process i support), than the board or the general manager deciding what they want/think is what we need. Inclusive is always more appealing to me than exclusive decisions being made by a small cadre of people.

Of course, that's just one man's opinion.

I understand what you are saying Bill. The time, energy, money, etc. spent on the MV decision is somewhat mind boggling and it is not yet complete. Yes get it done or get off the pot.

And the last decision in the process was to put it on lawn bowling greens at LV. Too many missteps and change in process for me. I’m just gonna roll with it all.

Maybe see you at the meeting this afternoon.

I feel after watching presentation last evening that although the architect firm follows what seems like an arduous process. It was a little surprising that the timeline will still not be shovel-ready for a year. Giving it a full study and time for clubs to all weigh in. If we can do a wonderful modern update to MV and maybe one day at Lakeview. Having 2 new stunning places may help us to generate many new home sales coming in. This just may be the key to revitalize the SC aging community, and maybe slow down the massive rental farm situation in here too.
I would love to see the modernization of our town along with some commercial additions to give us a healthy economic boost. All ideas welcome. Have a good day!

One of the most difficult aspects of this project has been shuffled aside and while i understand why, it is important we add it to the discussion. All of us living here and doing remodeling or our own, or watching past RCSC projects, knows how buggered Maricopa County is with their permitting process. I don't mean just slow, i mean pathetically slow and all-consuming.

Even if the board, management, triArc and the stakeholders proceed at warp speed, you can count on the county to drag the efforts down to a snails pace. I only write this to help those reading understand the impact...and for those involved to engage the county by pressing the importance of them doing their job.

It's also important, as Eileen noted, renovations by the RCSC on aging amenities will encourage investments across the retail landscape. The downside is, the massive spending allocations from PIF for golf, won't do much from that perspective. Hopefully it will lead to better satisfied members who golf, but even that is questionable as prices spiral and tee time frustrations spike.
