Of course I know Saul Alinsky but I'm not as good friends with him as you are! "If you know the enemy and yourself, you need not fear the results of a hundred battles."

That's BS and you know it. He was in contact the National Archives and everybody knew exactly what he had. And if he wasn't supposed to have them, then why did they just give them all back?

Wrong again, and what does it say? Although it says those documents belong to the United States, it also says:
    • Establishes in law that any incumbent Presidential records (whether textual or electronic) held on courtesy storage by the Archivist remain in the exclusive legal custody of the President and that any request or order for access to such records must be made to the President, not NARA.

No, AG Letitia James was the only one who under valued Mar-a-Lago at $18 Million dollars. See what you can buy in Palm Beach, on the water, for $18 Million. There's a vacant lot near Mar-a-Lago selling for $200 million! More Lawfare.

You mean the perfectly legal non-disclosure agreement? More Lawfare.
No, I think the truth is finally coming out on January 6th. Funny how the Liz Cheney committee destroyed the committees documents and withheld exculpatory
    evidence.

Seems he wasn't lying when he made his campaign promises, unlike Biden. And don't ask me to list the promises that Biden didn't keep because this blog doesn't accept that many words!

Yes, Nebraska has had good schools for decades; much better than those in the Chicago area. Apparently, in Chicago, they didn't teach manners or etiquette. Your loss!

We did study tariffs but my mind did not really comprehend them then as they do now. So..........we have been paying tariffs to other countries for years. Why is that ok but not ok to reciprocate?

First, I was born in Chicago but grew up in a suburb of Chicago, same one as Josie’s but several years ahead of her. We had very good schools but I was mostly an unmotivated student, just your basic C student. College was the place I excelled and graduated Cum Laude in my major, history. Would have been Cum Laude overall but those student protests in 1970 caused my straight A average to be on a pass fail basis. So much for the revolution. My parents taught me etiquette and manners, but they also not to suffer fools lightly and there are a ton of fools out here.

Some people are just inherently deficient in civility or decency. Probably why he worked in South Chicago rather than The Loop.
Always an excuse. It was your choice to protest.

Yes there are, and that gives you the right to drop F bombs. name call and bully. Got it.

Goodness i absolutely hate to interrupt this critical pissing contest regarding the South side of Chicago (my limited understanding comes from Jim Croce and Bad, Bad Leroy Brown), but i need to ask the MAGA faithfuls here for some help.

I was called into the backroom by the bride who suggested i need watch remarks from the president just this morning. Normally i have little tolerance for his comments, but when she told me what he said, i was in total disbelief. Watching it, i burst out laughing, my apologies to those who love him, but at some point reality has to set in (or not).

With that our of the way, he used a word that threw me, hence my request for your assistance. See, my immediate reaction was to do a Google search to see if the word existed and that i simply wasn't smart enough to know it. Help me out here gang, it may just be another Covfefe moment, but this one was live and on camera for the entire world to see and hear:

"Reinstop" or if you want to give him the benefit of the doubt, try this; "Re-in-stop."

Thanks for any help i can get on this one. I'll leave you to your far more interesting chides and snark.

He did not say reinstop. I am sure if he did it was an error. Personally I think you have a lot of nerve after Joe's ramblings, lies and mumbling incoherently. I am sure you have never stumbled over a word right Bill? You remember that time Biden was looking for the senator in the audience, but guess what? She had recently died. And after several falls they would not let him use the big kids steps to Air Force One.

Mumbles, bumbles and stumbles - Joe Biden’s cringiest moments and biggest gaffes

Or how about the time Joe shouted to former state senator Chuck Graham, "Stand up Chuck" who was a paraplegic in a wheelchair!

It is nice to learn that Bill does watch Trump on occasion!

And what about Kamala's word salad replies to questions? One prominent news channel even went to the extreme to edit the interview to make her sound coherent.

Bill, I watched the news conference this morning, too. I don't recall President Trump using that word but I may have missed it. While we all know he is a bragger, and I don't condone him calling his predecessor names and insulting him, I thought his responses answered the reporters' questions without leaving anyone in doubt of what he thought. Throughout the press conference, I kept thinking about how President Biden would have handled that level of questioning with his current cognitive level. The poor man was put in situations where he didn't appear to be in touch with reality. Vice President Harris probably wouldn't have held a news conference for months and months. If she did, her answers would likely have been the "word salads" we saw in her campaign and we would have been left wondering what she had said. I know you won't like this, but I am grateful that neither of them is our president now.

It's extremely difficult to deal with perfect people. Bill keeps using the same old sorry story about me, I was kicked off Nextdoor for a while and he banned me from Chit Chat. well over 5 years ago, however that's all he has so it's what he has to run with. I am sure it will be his go to until He dies, or I die. Like Trump mispronouncing a word, if he even did. Trump has a sense of humor, he took Covfefe and ran with it. Didn't he turn it into merchandise he sold on his website. He's laughing all the way to the bank.

Bill on the other hand throws temper tantrums at the mic at board meetings.

So help me understand. Lori called you to watch Trump, told you about a word he said, but you didn't hear it for yourself because it had already been said? Or maybe you tape all Trump's press conferences to watch later? Either you heard it firsthand or it was told to you by someone who may have mis-understood? I'll watch it if I can find it.

There is a lot to unpack here so I have to take these individually.

Saul Alinsky, yes I have read his book, actually I admit to having two of them. I don’t believe you have read them otherwise you would know what he was about. He was from Chicago and his whole career was helping the working man against corporations. His tactics you might not like but it’s the result that counts.

True he was in contact with the National Archives, but being the lying sack of shit he is, he lied, had an attorney sign an affidavit that was lies potentially an action of disbarment for the attorney. The Archives did not “give everything back.” They gave back personal papers after reviewing the documents. Meanwhile, Trump was playing hide the sausage with the classified documents which he was NOT entitled to possess once he left office. You would know this if you actually read the statute rather than cherry picking portions to support half your position.
BTW, the FBI did not institute the search of his home, the National Archives sued in Federal Court in Washington ( it’s a jurisdictional thing) which after a hearing regarding the documents and Trump’s refusal to return same, a court order was issued giving the Archives the authority to reclaim. The matter was turned over to the FBI and a duly issued warrant was issued, duly executed and lo and behold he help some of the nation’s most classified secrets. No Lawfare, no Court of Star Chamber only due process. Finally, don’t even think of bringing up he idiotic he could declassify documents by thinking about them or waving his hand over them. I would like to think you are more intelligent than that.

As for Letitia James, yes she valued his Louis the XIV wet dream palace at $18M because Trump was claiming its worth at $1.8B which is ludicrous in its face. Trump has been playing presto chango with real restate valuations for decades. Raise the value for loans drop the value for taxes. He finally gets his tit in a wringer and screams Lawfare. Such BS. I hope the Appellate Court in NY upholds the $400M+ judgment plus accrued interest because he will be broke and his properties foreclosed on and that shady bond company that wrote a guarantee on the judgment is going to get a rude awakening when the AG calls that obligation. Which is actually an undertaking, that means no matter what the stated amount is in the document, they are on the hook for the entire judgment plus interest. The owner should not played in an area he didn’t understand. Finally, Trump will stiff him on repayment because the State will want the collateral also. Remember Tom, I did this for a living for 30 years.

No, I am not referring to the NDA, I am referring to what is known as “cooking the books.” His financial statements are shit, even Trump said so and they became a bigger pile of shit afterwards. Everything had to do with expenses and how they were listed which constantly changed. No Lawfare, just sleaze.

What proof do have other than a bunch of screaming beanbags on right wing TV recycling conspiracy theories.

That should cover everything for the moment. See you at the Annual Meeting Tuesday.

    D

You really don’t understand how tariffs work. Tariffs, to give the simple explanation, are paid by the IMPORTER, not the exporter. Consequently, those avocados from Mexico will be more expensive because the 25% tariff will be paid by the company that imported them. The tariff is also paid at the port of entry. Now if you buy premade guc, you will be paying tariff on the avocado, the tomato, onion ( I used finely chopped white onion), lemon.the cost of the tariff really adds up.

That said, the Orange Jesus has been lying to you about who pays tariffs for years and you are about to receive an expensive lesson. He recently said that the US collected billions in tariffs FROM China. This is pure unaltered BS and he knows it and if he doesn’t, do you really want a president who understands nothing about economic laws? You might as well have The Marx Brothers as you economic team.

Sorry Janet, but facts are not negotiable.

That ridiculous comment doesn’t change what I said. As a matter of fact it looks like Africaan boy and his tech bros are going after Social Security big time. He is talking over $800B in cuts which should about make the total cuts ripe for making the previous Trump tax cuts which added $8T to the national debt permanent along with his new$2T tax cuts for the wealthy doable.
I warned you about this and you posted the dopey election stuff above. Be prepared to get fucked big time. As my old Prussian grandmother used to say, “If you don’t listened, you feel.” I can’t believe you voted for this idiot and his pet racist schnook.
