John Fast "I would like to make clear what my amendments do and do not do. They do require RCSC to spend between 40k and 150k to hire an urban planning expert and use the expert's process to develop a master plan. We simply have to stop wasting money hiring architects when we don't have a plan for Sun City. We also need to stop pretending we have the in-house expertise to make intelligent decisions. That is why there are experts. We also need to stop trying to direct them to a preferred result." Just would like to know who will pay for this, RCSC or will our assessment be raised again?
I guess I will not be getting an answer to my question. I find it interesting that 5 or so members are developing a "plan" without member knowledge. It's almost as if the other 30k plus people who live here don't exist in your minds. And no member voting on big ticket items because 3 people don't think it would be a good idea? TOSC is a public forum. An account is not necessary to read, only to add content. The link should be provided on other platforms so all residents who want to can read what is being proposed.
I believe Josie you will see a motion for the BOD meeting next week which should answer your question. Raising assessments should not be needed.
Josie, I absolutely respect your right to voice your opinion. My hope is the board will feel ethically inclined to let the members vote on the big stuff. John
