What a pathetic turn-out for the election of the Board of Directors. You think last year was sad with only 2,012 voters, this year there were 40% fewer!!!!! That's worse than pathetic!

So much for Recall Petitions. If you can't even get 10% of the Members to vote for Board candidates, you will NEVER get 10% of the Members to sign a Recall Petition!

And stop bitching about your Board if you don't come out and vote!

The RCSC Board of Directors election results are in. The number of ballots cast in this year’s election totaled 1,214 with a grand total of 4,637 votes.

The successful candidates elected to serve on the RCSC Board beginning in 2025 for full three-year terms are:
    • Tom Foster who received 907 votes,
    • Rick Gray who received 866 votes, and
    • John Bressett who received 823 votes.
And.... Chris Nettesheim who received 743 votes, and Anita Borski who received 677 votes and will each serve a one-year term on the Board.

The recall petition is a whole different animal. I don't know if they will get the required signatures, but there is a better chance when people are angry.

I watched the video. It was pathetic. Looked like about 20 to 30 people attended. I have been saying for a long time people were pissed, now they just don't care. The GM was particularly obnoxious and if people do watch on-line, I'm sure that will be noticed.

What was pathetic was all the griping and accusations people are doing at those meetings. I don't know how those volunteer Directors can sit through so much belly aching. Of course, some concerns are legitimate and must be explored. On the other hand other people stand up and have multiple grievances. I am left wondering why those Members weren't candidates for the Board in our recent election.

I don't know. Most had legit concerns. There were three snarky folks, the one re the property recently sold in phase 1 and honestly the board should have known the answer, saying not my job, call SCHOA doesn't work. The last person to speak is always like that. The board has to listen unfortunately, watching the video it's easy to turn off. The rest of the speakers had legit concerns, especially Faith Putman.

Unfortunately, people are more inclined to come out when they are angry and this year there was a lot to be angry about.

Some people aren't able or don't have an interest in running for the Board; however, this is a self-goverened community and it would be good if more owners found ways they could be involved. Join a committee and provide input. Watch the meetings if you can't come, and send your thoughts to the Board.

While I agree, some grievances are over-the-top, most have very valid view points and should be able to express them. Big problem is some of the Board doesn't appear to be interested in listening. This isn't the show of 9, or even one small group. It's the show of 33,0000.

Always like when you go to the podium. I can always count on constructive conversation and honesty from you.
