Just finished watching. I was under the impression the Library was a done deal. It is not. Appears Maricopa County has the contract but has not returned a signed copy. This was supposed to be done June 30, 2024, then I thought I heard it was signed on or around September 30, 2024. Not one board member knew the status. Also mentioned was the Website redesign and the $350,000. Never really got a definitive answer on that either. What was supposed to help the 80+ year olds is not working. I will be setting up an Icon later for one, and the other tomorrow. Neither one has a clue since the change, and they both say it's very hard to read. They have 15 years on me, and I agree. The background is too busy for old eyes. I did submit a suggestion on behalf of them but.......
The contract is in the hands of the Maricopa Library District. It just needs to be signed, that’s all. The library will not close as there is a provision in the previous contract for a month to month tenancy while new contract being being signed. This is standard in real estate contracts. Maricopa County moves slow for some reason. Try working with the building department for giggles and snorts. Don’t know anything about the website agreement or technology. I know the help button never helps nor those obnoxious chat buttons.
