From a google search: Does the economy do better under democrats or republicans:
1). Since World War II, the United States economy has performed significantly better on average under the administration of Democratic presidents than Republican presidents.
    2). Economic Policy Institute:
New report finds that the economy performs better under Democratic presidential administration.

Let's continue, this will be fun for anyone with a live brain cell:
    Lexington Herald Leader:
Job Growth: The contrast between the Democratic and Republican parties over the last six administrations is stark. On average, Democratic administrations have overseen robust non-farm job growth of 13.58%, compared to just 0.49% during Republican administrations. This suggests that under recent Democratic leadership, the economy is more likely to produce the jobs that drive prosperity for a broader segment of the population. Clinton’s observation, although surprising in magnitude, is generally accurate: The average job growth rate has been 27.71 times greater under the most recent three Democratic administrations than under the most recent three Republican administrations.
GDP Growth: Data from the last three Democratic and Republican administrations reveal a clear difference in performance. On average, Democratic administrations have achieved a GDP annual growth rate of 2.99%, while the last three Republican administrations have posted a lower average of 1.97%. While a one percent annual growth rate differential may appear modest, over time, it represents a significant divergence in economic outcomes, with Democratic policies fostering stronger growth. Extending the analysis back to Franklin Roosevelt’s presidency in 1933, GDP growth under Democratic administrations has averaged 3.83%, compared to 2.49% under Republican administrations. This historical pattern strongly favors Democratic administrations in terms of economic expansion.
Inflation: This key measure of economic stability reveals an interesting comparison. On average, inflation grew by 3.23% per year under the most recent three Democratic administrations, slightly higher than the 3.0% average experienced during the last three Republican administrations. While Democratic administrations have achieved stronger GDP and job growth, they have also experienced marginally higher inflation rates, reflecting the trade-offs often associated with more aggressive economic expansion strategies. The slightly lower inflation rate under Republican administrations suggests a more conservative approach, potentially at the expense of slower GDP growth and job creation.

The Historical Puzzle of US Economic Performance under Democrats vs. Republicans (Belfer Center) Harvard/Kennedy School.
Since World War II, Democrats have seen job creation average 1.7 % per year when in office, versus 1.0 % under the GOP. US GDP has averaged a rate of growth of 4.23 percent per annum during Democratic administrations, versus 2.36 per cent under Republicans, a remarkable difference of 1.87 percentage points. This is postwar data, covering 19 presidential terms—from Truman through Biden. If one goes back further, to the Great Depression, to include Herbert Hoover and Franklin Roosevelt, the difference in growth rates is even larger.

    EPI Action
    • Since 1949, there has been a Democratic advantage in the average performance of key macroeconomic indicators measuring economic health, including:
      • Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth
      • Job growth
      • Unemployment rate
      • Growth in inflation-adjusted wages
      • Growth of market-based incomes per capita
      • Inflation
      • Interest rates
    • This Democratic advantage is across the board in all variables we measure but strongest in private-sector outcomes–notably, business investment, job growth, and the growth of market-based incomes.
    • Household income growth (adjusted for inflation) was faster on average and far more equal during Democratic administrations, and the Democratic advantage shows up for every group.

You can cite numbers till the cows come home. Same with history. What really matters is how do people feel TODAY?

Survey: Almost 50% of Americans Consider Themselves ‘Broke’ (marketwatch.com)

Yes, many Americans are struggling financially, and the situation is affecting people across the income spectrum:

    • Financial insecurity
A LendingTree report found that one-third of American households are financially insecure, meaning they have trouble paying for basic expenses like food, housing, and medicine.

    • Living paycheck to paycheck
A MarketWatch survey found that 66.2% of Americans feel like they're living paycheck to paycheck.

    • Middle-class struggles
A poll found that 65% of Americans considered "middle class" are facing financial hardship. Many of these people are able to afford basic expenses, but they are concerned about saving for the future.

    • Inflation
Price hikes are particularly devastating for lower-income Americans, who have less flexibility to save money.

    • Personal finances have gotten worse
A Bankrate poll found that 50% of U.S. adults say their overall personal financial situation is worse than it was in November 2020.

    • Even wealthy Americans are struggling
CNN Business reported that even wealthy Americans are struggling to make ends meet.

How about the stock market? Which party does better?
From 1926 to 2023, we have had a Republican president for 47 years, and a Democratic president for 51 years. The difference in returns between the parties is pretty stark. The average annual return for the S&P 500 index when we had a Republican President was 9.32%. When we had a Democratic President, the S&P 500 average 14.78% per year. That’s a premium of 5.5% per year on average. To put it mildly, this is a really big difference.

Okay Bill, I will perhaps concede that apparently the facts show that Democrats have been better for the economy in the past. But we're not living in the past. We are living in the present, and the Biden administration has been a disaster. Inflation over his reign of terror has increased 20%, and now a $200,000 a year salary is considered middle class. No need to get into how the 20 million illegal aliens will strain the economy!

I'm done with this post. We're running in circles.

See ya in the funny papers! Have a great joyful day!

There's hundreds of these Tom, how many more do you want? And so we are really, really clear; the inflation that hit the US was world problem and certainly not unique to our country. In fact, there's hundreds of articles out there about how the United States outperformed virtually every other industrialized nation.

You want some of those as well? Be happy to flood the site with stuff nobody will click on or read. Sorry bro, the country/economy simply does better under democrats.

Well Bill the past 4 years sucked. Our country is paying for 10 million illegal immigrants, housing, healthcare, education. Let me know when historical information can put gas in my car ok? Oh and food on the table.

The same people that said the economy was great under Biden, are now preaching that Kamala will fix the economy!

Seriously, with all the issues Harvard has had this year you still consider them credible.

The real issue (another term for "in my opinion) is not how people feel today, it's how they will feel on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Was just listening to Bernie Sanders about the drug Ozempic. Insurance will cover for diabetes but not weight loss. Being overweight can lead to heart failure and diabetes. A 30 day supply in the US is $935.00.

For Ozempic, Americans pay about $969 per month, compared with $59 in Germany, $71 in France, $122 in Denmark and $155 in Canada, Sanders said on Tuesday.

    WHERE IS KAMALA NOW??????

I get it Tom, you don't want to believe the articles that are in fact steeped in FACTS. The long held belief the economy did better under republicans has always been a myth with no data to support it actually being the case.

So, rather than debating the issue, let's turn to your golden boy and see what he had to say about that very topic. This paragraph from a 2004 Wolf Blitzer interview with trump was and may well be the one time in his life he told the truth (said tongue in cheek): “In many cases, I probably identify more as Democrat,” Trump told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer in a 2004 interview. “It just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans. Now, it shouldn’t be that way. But if you go back, I mean it just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats. …But certainly we had some very good economies under Democrats, as well as Republicans. But we’ve had some pretty bad disaster under the Republicans.”

    Ouch!

Trump was a Democrat, as were so many others, until they weren't. Five of this year’s party switchers involved House Democrats becoming Republicans, reflective of the fact that in recent history the GOP has seen more converts. Since 1994, 173 state lawmakers have switched parties: 83 of those were Democrats who became Republicans, while just 23 Republicans became Democrats.

The President of Iran is here in NYC for the UN Meeting with full Secret Service protection at the taxpayers' expense. He has openly stated Iran is attempting to assassinate Trump. Trump does not have full SS protection. Biden would not allow RFK Jr SS either.

Remember when Bush went to Iraq and his life was threatened? Clinton, who was president sent a missile to Iraq as a warning...you do not threaten America, or any of its leaders, current or former.

Today, in the demented world of Biden/Harris investigations are at a standstill on the 2 attempts, and they and most all democrats are still calling Trump Hitler. No one can tell me today's democrats are anything good. They are the party of hate. They want Trump dead.

    Prove me wrong.
