It's obvious the frustration, disappointment and disillusionment that has set in has become palpable. When it was Joe versus the donald all that maga'ts were excited by the prospect. Creepy old uncle donald was rocking it compared to tired old grandpa Joe. And then the shit hit the fan, Joe stepped down for the good of the country and trump found himself at the bottom of an abyss bellowing unfair. He was even threatening to sue for wasting money on the guy who was no longer in the race. Worse yet, he couldn't shift course and kept floating silly nicknames hoping one would work and help steer the course against Harris. I won't waste your time or mine reciting his efforts. Suffice to say, it was little more than the juvenile antics of a guy who wasn't very smart but was willing to stoop as low as it took to make every one else look worse than him. Kind of sad for a guy in his 70's who has led a life of privilege since birth. These past month has been rough on him and his supporters. His ample lead is gone and Harris has blown by him. The momentum shift is staggering on levels even the smartest of political observers are stunned by. No one could have predicted the impact and stir she has created. This week has been especially tough on trump as the stories have piled up and the reality of a campaign steeped in what was, has been surpassed by a campaign of what should be. Call it then and now, call it ying and yang, but anyone with even a modicum of honesty will tell you last night's event with Kamala/Oprah and a cast of thousands crushed it. On the other hand trump awoke to the dreaded news good old Mark Robinson had not dropped out of the race for the North Carolina governor's race. The assessment isn't good as the two, trump/robinson, are clearly swimming in the same swamp...you know, the one trump promised to drain the first time around. TOSC has become a cesspool of crap posts from X, Newsmax and Fox who are all trying valiantly to prop up the old orange guy. For my money, i would be happy to let this site go back to being a community web page filled with the news of the day from our community. Sadly, those in the state of panic have elected to high jack it and make it the mess it is. Mea culpa's from me, i've made it even more messy, but alas, it is what it is until they want to make it something better. At which point i'll gladly step away. As always, i write these few words with complete Joy in my heart.
Seems to me Bill is the guy who has created the cesspool on TOSC? There was a single thread started called "Purely Politics" that was suppose to keep the political discussions in one place so that those who didn't want to engage wouldn't read it. But apparently that wasn't enough for Bill who has started several other threads in his attempt to get his point across! I know you are enamored with leon musk's wealth, but i'm not. To each their own God...mine is truth, justice and American way (that and a bunch of other stuff but certainly not money). The vitriol, hatred and rage has come from you the day you joined here. I get it, you don't like me. Oh well. But the snarly, gnarly crap you post about me is pretty over the top. Oh well. I on the other hand offer to pray for you. I try and counsel you when it appears your head will explode. The anger pours through and i know hugging your dogs and taking a deep breath will help. I must agree with that. I don't hate anybody and I don't let politics or religion bleed into any acquaintance. When we meet we simply stay away from those topics with no cause to be disrespectful. In fact, I met with Dave at the F&B meeting on Wednesday and we had a nice respectable chat and in fact chuckled about our bantering!

If this was only politics it would be fine, however, it goes much deeper than that, with much worse comments and hate posts to me from December 2023 on the General Forum. And from what I hear about Dave from others no one likes the way he speaks, they put up with it for whatever reason.
