Yes, Rather was forced out at CBS for his disastrous reporting on George W. Bush’s National Guard service, in which he relied on fabricated documents to allege that Dubya got special treatment and that his superiors had been ordered to lie about his record.
As all the follow-up reporting showed, it was utter nonsense.
The narrative — that Bush was a nasty, evil, bad, bad, bad, bad man — was correct, Rather argued: Facts were and are irrelevant.
Remember, he stuck by the fake story for years and tried to make himself out as a victim of a sinister plot at CBS, when in fact he suffered only thanks to his own partisan rage and midwit hubris.
He seemed an outlier at the time, even in a media landscape that most certainly leaned left and did its best to run interference on his BS. (Remember the immortal “Fake But Accurate” New York Times headline about the forged docs?)
But he ended up writing the law our stenographer class lives by today.
That being: Journalism exists to help Democrats, period.
By trying to suffocate bad stories about Hunter Biden (including his 100% real laptop) to fend off the political harm they might do his dad.
Or greasing the path for the Biden administration to lie about inflation or the border crisis.
Or going to bat for the Chinese government’s version of where COVID came from while shrieking for useless draconian measures against the virus here at home based on nonsense data.
Here we are, almost two decades later, with Ratherism near-triumphant and the actual goals of journalism in near-ruin.

So, great work, Dan.
You and your pals helped wreck a key institution of American life.
The only casualty was the truth.

I truly don't understand. A 6 year old could identify the homeless crisis we have in this country. All major cities are plagued with it. It's even here in SC. The economy sucks. Harris has been a disaster on the border, but then again she hasn't been to Europe either, so it's not her fault!

You all had this cute little clique and someone new came in that didn't think the sun rose and set on both Bill and Sun City so you all went for the jugular. It did not have to be like that. If I wasn't attacked in the first place I never would have fought back. For the love of God Chris is still attacking me on Nextdoor. I said "thank you" to someone and that post was flagged. A moderator sent me a private message on ND: "However, I must ask, whose coffee did you pee in? I swear every comment you post is flagged by someone. We (moderators) don’t get to see who that is anymore or I’m doing something wrong. Regardless, nearly every single comment." You all are lovely.

 

Like everything with Josie, her life is littered with half truths, or leaving out "the rest of the story." She showed up on TOSC after being booted off a number of other social media sites, two of which i was an admin for. She was also kicked off NextDoor for her antics. I wasn't on ND, so i have no idea what she said, but in the cases i had a say in, she was removed for her constant whining about how much she hated Sun City. She was warned, but she had no interest in following the rules.

When she came here it was more of the same. Sadly there is no administration or moderators. The good news (for me) was my goal was to pull away and enjoy retirement. As Ben told me, there's no upside to fighting with her. He was spot on, so i left. I would come by and read the posts and then move along. The bad news was she isn't smart enough to know when to quit.

Her comments regarding me, or my dogs or my sobriety are insignificant at best. They make her look small and petty. I'm only back because the site has turned into a political cesspool and i find the ability to share the Harris/Walz message of Joy...well JOYFUL! Playing pin the tail on the orange donkey is kind of fun too.

One last thing...May 8, 1976. The most important day in my long joyful life (at least after that date).

And this is not the first State to report something like that!

If certain people would get their heads out their proverbial Parties symbol, and follow news outlets that actual report the News, they would read or hear about many other States that are reporting other things such as, there were thousands of more votes cast in Pennsylvania then there are registered voters.

We also know that many of the changed rules used were unconstitutional because only the State legislature can change election laws and not Governors or individuals!

The truth will come out about the 2020 election one day, just as we eventually learned how JFK won his Presidency thanks to the corruption in Chicago!

It's true that Biden received more votes than Trump, but many of those votes were illegally cast.

 

And it will happen again. It's just a proven fact now. The reports came out the FBI was aware of 5 terrorist groups, 3 from the Middle East and 2 US born who are trying to kill Trump. He will either die or lose, I hope the latter for him and his family. Nothing matters too much for me, I'm old. It's the kids. Mine is gone so even that doesn't matter much.

Why has Routh “never served a day in jail” when he has “100 different counts” to his name? Why was Routh's fiance okay with him flying to Ukraine for months at a time? There are several stories this morning on The Gateway Pundit with reports regarding the shenanigans with voter registrations and the such.

Bill or Dave won't go to that site because they only want to hear from the sources that push their beliefs.

 

Sen. Lankford was giving the stats on Nevada voter fraud found from the 2020 election. Asked if anyone has been prosecuted. Guess what the answer was?

 

No need to guess, it's the same answer as every other failure.
Anybody been fired for the bogus Russia, Russia, Russia thing? Anybody been fired the Afghanistan debacle? Anybody been fired for first assassination attempt on Trump?

The only people suffering any consequences for anything are those people who support Trump! Lawyers who want to defend Trump find themselves being threatened with disbarrement. People who weren't even in D.C. on J6 are still sitting in prison!

The whole system is rigged and the longer the Dem's have any sort of control it's only going to get worse until we only have one political party...and dare I say it will be the Communist Party!
