I wrote yesterday the job of being president is a big deal. We've only had 46 of them and so it truly is a rare breed of person who aspires to that lofty space we should all be in awe of. Of course that's an exaggeration because with a two party system, the differences makes it difficult. What further compounds the challenge is when one of the candidates acts and behaves in ways that dare i say are just plain weird? We (at least i), expect either party's candidate to attempt to be "presidential." That seems like a relatively low bar, but since the day trump rode the golden elevator down, we've all witnessed what i would describe as a human dumpster fire. I get it; those of you who love him for owning the democrats, or fighting back or speaking his mind, the crap he spews is all good stuff (to them). For normal, everyday people, it's not. If he were just a guy schlocking his gimmicks and promoting his brand, no one would care. But he's not. He's the guy who told us he wants to be our President. There-in is the problem, with over 300 million citizens of the US, his appeal to the 70-75 million votes he may get this November is the minority of the population. Be that as it may, one would think in an effort to grow his base, he would try and be more appealing. But then, this is trump we are talking about and what we know is he cannot stay on message, he has literally no discipline and is wholly incapable of even trying to be "presidential." But alas, this post is getting long and we already know some readers lament having to actually read anything more than a single sentence or two. So, with that, i will come back later and share with you trump's missives from truth social over the past couple of days. It is indeed as revealing as the remarks made by former staffers. I will say this; when reading them, i found absolutely no Joy whatsoever. In fact, they just made me sad that anyone could be that twisted. Stay tuned, it will be revealing.

Even if 10% are being trafficked that's 32,000 little kids being used for sex. I know you don't care about how taxpayers will suffer by having to pay for the 12 million illegals Biden/Harris let in, and future illegal migrants as you said yesterday you are fine financially no matter who is elected. That's a good thing for you, however there are millions who are not as fortunate as you. Just recently on Nextdoor there are women trying to form a group of interested ladies who can't afford to live on their own and are considering sharing homes. Of course they do, at least some of them do. I don't and i don't repost. At times i will smile and move on, maybe even a thumbs up if it's good and wholesome; it's just not my thing. Meme's have reduced this country to being less than critical thinkers or readers. It is what is it. But let's get back to truth social shall we. We could call it trump's vanity project once he left (or was he booted?) off Twitter, but in reality it was just another cash cow for him to bleed his supporters with. And if you doubt that, watch when he sells the stock his partners gave him to sign on and the whole ugly thing collapses. Oh well, the donald will do well, as usual...the suckers will be left holding the empty bag. To your point, the meme is a tool that is used widely across social media sites. Truth social is trump's baby and it has become his most viable and visible tool to feed the red meat to his base. They need it to stay inflated in the belief the man is some kind of icon who can walk on water. As an aside, remember when red meat was what we got from cattle? He's not an icon, not even close, and as the more folks see the staggering difference between a man self-possessed of his own inflated importance compared to two normal people (Harris/Walz) the Joy will spread further and wider than it already has. Again, hoping that helps clear up any misunderstanding.

No actually you don't; but typical of a trumper, you think you are smarter than everyone else. I on the other hand am a mere mortal with all my flaws and shortcomings. That said, my heart is filled with Joy Baby, Joy. And for that i am forever grateful to Joe for stepping aside for the sake of the country he loves and Kamala willing to step into the breech. One of the best headlines and subsequent stories i have read regarding trump et al was headed this way Dave: The Nastiness Is The Point. Without the cruelty and divisiveness from the right, would there be anything left at all of them? Think about that for a nano-second. Which is all the more reason the masses are embracing Harris/Walz as a breath of fresh air. Dang, the Joy is indeed infectious.
