Had them in Westbrook Village but that was years ago. Oddly enough my home here has never had them. This is probably not the best site for an answer to your question, and I would NOT use any HOA recommendations. Contractor on their list was wanted by FBI for rape. They don't vet. What I do now is look online, view BBB stats and ROC#. They should give you a guarantee as well. In the long run you may pay a little more but it's well worth it.
They say it's not IF you get termites but rather WHEN! We had termites a few years ago because we learned, after the fact, that if you put an addition on, and disturbed the ground, you should have an exterminator come and spray the ground before they pour the concrete slab. We used General Exterminator out of Youngstown. In fact, we have them come once a month and spray the grounds for bugs just as a general maintanence. We've used them for years. As far as the cost? I'm sure it's different today then when we had it done, plus you can pay for an extended guarantee. They will drill holes about every foot all around your house and pump the chemical in.
