Wow! Where did this 3GenSCAZ person come from? Talk about hate speech? This person doesn't seem to have a nice thing to say about anybody or anything! Unless I've missed something, I haven't seen any hate speech on this site other than 3GenSCAZ calling out Bill? What's up with that? If you don't like what you're reading on this site then don't look! But don't be lecturing me and trying to change my way of thinking just because it doesn't agree with yours! Lighten up dude...or just go away!
Actually, FYI, i want him to stay. I've spent the last 15 years trying to get one of the board or management to try and have a straight up discussion regarding how Sun City is run. We know it doesn't happen at board meetings, we hear they are going to try and listen and communicate with us at the member exchanges. When i was on the board i literally begged the gm and board members to create an interactive site where members could ask questions. Perhaps once he gets past the name calling and personal attacks he'll have the capacity for an actual discussion debate over how and why Sun City is better off by stilling the voices of the members and letting the general manager run everything. It just might be enlightening. As far as his hate speech comment, i would hope he would use more than some psycho babble to prove his point. I've written enough on here for him to identify how i hate anyone. We had a standard we tried to apply regarding this and any other interactions; attack the idea, not the person. I wonder he has followed that rule on all the things he has written.
The past 2+ years have been exhausting and seems to have aggravated any chance to remain civil when challenged. I agree that overall this Forum has remained a good source of information and place to air complaints or praise. I've taken a break from posting but keep informed. It's truly frustrating to watch the Board's actions over the past 2 years. Hate Speech? I think it's more venting and people need an outlet. Mr. SCiF formed a standing committee for a special interest while there is such need in really important areas of concern, Mountain View has become a nightmare, the BOD has upended procedures taking away Members' ability to participate, Viewpoint Lake draining on the horizon(and what a literally stinking issue that will be!), and how do we make golf truly make an attempt to have golfers pay for the privilege to play here in Sun City. Hate? No, but frustration with those at the helm.
I agree we have major issues but golf and the Sun City courses are not the biggest threat to our future. Venting is fine for awhile but it gets boring. My goal, address the real problems and get an action plan forward. Stay with me on this.
Did calling former Board Members Retreads meet the standard? It was long after the ARS gloves off days.
Spare me the righteousness. The day i first used it i said unabashedly, if i were to run i too would be a retread. It's a simple term of endearment that i too could have fallen into. Of course that other way to become one was; being called back when the board cavalierly fires a board member or gets sick, dies or just quits and they replace them with someone who will vote as they want. Oops, guess that leaves me out. And to be clear, should i run in this years election, i will brand myself a "retread." Not to be mean spirited, but because that's what i would be. BTW, 3g when you started this thread, did you ever consider that whole "pot calling the kettle black thing?" After what's it been now, 4 or 5 years of posting literally every day the attacks, both personally and professionally against those on the left, you might just be seen as a tad disingenuous? When reading your blog, it drips of hatred. But thanks for telling us "it's the truth" and then dismissing us at the end. And you talk about my ego? Yikes.
Now we are getting down ride absurd rich. Acting like you don't know what i am talking about only makes you look more guilty. Look in the mirror brother and you will see a face of hatred that has been percolating for years. You know, liberals being the scourge of the earth and all.
Golly, we went from everyone already knowing who it was to not being that former board member. Sweet.
