For those of you who don't know, last year after Karen McAdam was fired there was a fair amount of angst within the community. With the RCSC's first meeting in September came a fairly large, tense turnout from the membership. Rather than deal with the anger, then board president Sue Wilson stomped off the stage to show those in attendance who was in charge. By closing the meeting she further infuriated those in the crowd. One of those in the room was so incensed, he followed the by-laws and requested a recall petition from the RCSC for President Wilson. As i have written before, there is no "just cause" language anywhere in the by-laws or board policies. There used to be, but the general manager, when she rewrote the documents, took it out. In it's place was a convoluted mess that when reading it, made virtually no sense. The first petition request was rejected by the general manager. He has no authority to do that, it's a board decision. The second request was a long drawn out process where the final resolve was a nonsensical response from the RCSC attorney. By now, more than 4 months had gone by. The third request for recall included two other board members and after months of waiting he was informed the request must have been lost. His fourth effort was submitted and after a month or two was notified again by the attorney there was no cause for the recall. Duh. Being completely frustrated, by the games, the gentleman has taken things into his own hands. Clearly they won't assign him a recall petition number so his next course of action is to gather enough signatures (roughly 2200) and push for a special membership meeting as allowed in the documents and force a recall election at that meeting. In his efforts to gain more viability, he has gotten very creative. As you drive around Sun City you may see him sitting along roadways with a very large sign attached to the back of his golf car. It truly is a sight to behold. I'm having a problem loading this photo so i will share it with others to see if they can post it. Suffice to say, this what happens when you show so little respect for the people who elect you.
I wish he would post a schedule of when and where he'll be on any given day. I just might be inclined to track him down?
