    I received some updates, which I didn't ask for.

    Sunviews for November and December - 8000 each.
    Sunviews for Jan, Feb, Mar - 10,000 each.
    Email Blast is closer to 13,000.

    There seems to be some effort to ease up the process. I didn't have to fill out another form.
    I would give credit, but don't want to get anyone in trouble.

    I also updated my original post, with numbers, in this thread. For some reason I dropped a zero from each number. Sorry about that.

    Exactly!! It made my head spin to read all the changes! I thought I changed my mind a lot!! Seriously, though, we need to focus on Communication and also create a Bylaws/Articles/Revision Committee. Those are key along with Technology.

    Those are key to restoring respect for the board again!?!?!

    Sorry to say, but we need to see what the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws said pre Jan Ek!

    We need for our Members to regain their sense of responsibility and sense of ownership in the community again rather simply being a member of a gym who could care less if the gym succeeds! They need to understand that as the desire to move into Sun City declines, so does their property values!

    I think we need to push the new board members very hard and I hope they're responsive and up to the task or else we'll continue to be ruled by a bunch of dictators who are only interested in our money and not our co-involvement in the future success of Sun City?

    Actually the Standing Committee was originally titled Member Communications Committee in 2010. This was the RCSC Guidelines for the Committee at the time:

    Member Communication Mission Statement:

    The Member Communications Committee shall attend to the needs of the members as an advocate for new ways to communicate within the RCSC structure. This will include, but not limited to computers, telephone, wireless networking, and speaking to the members in an effort to have them engaged in the communication process. These advocacies are designed to inform and encourage the greatest amount of card holder participation in all RCSC activities including meetings.

    Committees have no direct decision making authority and are limited to presenting options and recommendations to the board of directors and the management team, via the chair and/or co-chair.

    Member Communication Committee: It is the purpose of the Member Communication Committee to:

    1. assist in the promotion of two way communication within the RCSC;
    2. encourage fellowship among the community in Sun City;
    3. gather input from the community in Sun City, to provide a voice to the Board and Management; and
    4. review and recommend policies to the Board of Directors.
    In December 2013 it was voted by the Board to change the title/focus of the committee to Marketing-Member Communications Committee. At the December meeting of the then Member Communications Committee, the members of the committee voted unanimously against this change in title/focus to no avail.

    I'm not sure but somewhere along the line it again changed to Outreach Committee and now the recent two changes in title. It no longer has anything to do with two way communications between Members, Management or the Board of Directors.

    Precisely, Aggie! Thank you for finding that. The definition in the original is exactly what is needed in place today in a revised Communications committee. I'm so hopeful that the next Board will be willing to work with the membership to take "backward" steps in order to go "forward."
