For those of you who missed the show at the Sun Bowl tonight, here is The Devil Went Down to Georgia, but no sound.
Didn't go, turning into a wuss...too cold out there for just sitting. How was the show and the crowd carp?
The show was quite good, the band had this history of country music video that they ran on and off that I could easily have skipped but it was part of a noble experiment in entertainment that I felt they didn't quite pull off. But there is no reason for you to sit in the chill, a couple of hundred people kept warm by dancing all night. The two lead singers - one of each gender - changed costumes a lot, I asked my social director who does not allow me to turn into a wuss and not go, how many outfits she wore and we settled on five or six. it was good fun.
I wonder why they do hold it on Sunday? To me it is the same thing, but not so for everyone. On the other hand they do pretty much fill the place up on Sunday so they probably have an "if it isn't broken don't fix it" attitude going.
Good call. I’ll bet that is the reason. My father played country guitar, including pedal steel, every night my entire childhood. He played well, but I didn’t like it then and I still don’t. I was dragged to several big name concerts. But I’m an adult now so Eeeek, I go running at the first twang.
