Brrrr......I can still see the white frost in the shady spots on our neighbor's roof. We've still held off firing up the furnace but if this keeps up, we may need to turn it on to take the chill off the mornings soon. It was 35 on my thermometer at 7:00 this morning and has only climbed to 37. It really does make it feel like autumn.

    It's soup weather.

    Off topic:
8 years ago my son asked me to keep a large chair for him. We put it on my back patio.
Today I told him I wanted to get rid of it. He said o.k.

About noon today my neighbor and his nephew put the chair on my driveway with a FREE sign.
An hour later a couple picked it up. I thought it might sit there for days!

I bought the fixings for that, too, because we bought a ham. Pea soup cooked with the ham bone is so good. We like to put a dash of vinegar in it when served up.

Okay....had to turn on the heat this morning. The third morning in the 30's was just too much and we had to take the chill out of the air. The dry air sure makes a difference in not holding in the heat as well.

We're still holding out without turning the heat on. Having a middle condo probably helps. That and the relatively recent move from a much colder climate. I noticed it was -1 back home this morning. Man, do I love this weather!
