Ha. When I look at that photo I say my neck just gave away my age. I'm 7 years past legal, but thanks. I'll take the "young lady" and run with it.

Posting a selfie - - - - did you hear half of Sun City scream "get off my lawn" when you did that?

I understand some Sun Citians are concerned about the Boomers moving in.....the should be. Mwahahahahahahahahaha

Full disclosure, I am NOT old enough to live in SC, but J is. Thank you for giving me another opportunity to point that out.

Yes it was. But I returned to L.A. last night. I did get to see the dust storm develop and the rain on Dawn Lake before I left...was a nice parting gift.

What dust storm. I only got rain in the am. It stopped long enough for me go to the pool and then started again.

Here's a photo of it building up. I don't think it actually hit Sun City but I did get 3 cell phone warnings not to drive. You don't receive those? View attachment 1 That attached rather strangely but you can still click on the thumbnail to enlarge it. And it rained after this. The trees were blowing hard and wavelets picked up on the lake. That was about 2 pm.

That's one of the real oddities of the west valley; there can be weather a few miles one way or the other and you never even know it hit the community next door. Of course there's always the local weather people who will make sure you know what you missed.

Watching those dust storms develop and then seeing them swoop through is fascinating. Everything just goes dark and as fast as it hits, it's gone. Too cool unless you're caught in it.

Awesome looking pontoon (?); is it yours or the neighbors?

My dock but the neighbors pontoon. He recently bought the house and is in the process of building a dock. Most houses already have one but his did not so he asked me if he could park it for a few months.

I hope you said "Yes, as long as I can use it - the pontoon". BTW. What is a pontoon?

Peg- If you haven't already looked it up, a pontoon is a type of watercraft that has a flat raftlike platform with metal floats to keep it above water. You'll see many pontoon "boats" on the local lakes as they are ideal for standing or walking about while enjoying a cruise on the waterways.

No I didn't. I let him offer it. :fat: Several pontoons on evening wine cruises around the lake from what I could see. I was happy to see that people do use their boats. During the daytime too. I also see people rowing canoes.
