Damn, fell off the edge of my seat waiting. Noted this week in the papers, SCHOA just added 4 new employees and will begin starting construction on an addition to the building on Coggins. Guess that $200 assessment for "property inspections" is paying off; it sure as heck isn't coming from memberships.
Nothing a little talcum powder won't cure. I do get concerned that SCHOA loose sight of it's number one mission, and that's enforcing the CC&R's. Don't get me wrong, all the other stuff is value added, but keeping the community standards is their first and foremost role. The good news, from my perspective is, a dear fried who has been on the SCHOA board before is running again this year and that bodes well for all Sun City residents.
Will do E. I hear the RCSC has more candidates than openings, but not much coming out of SCHOA. Any word on the numbers running aggie?
Word is there are also more candidates than openings on slate for the SCHOA election. I'm sure your friend can fill you in as I think there's an orientation for candidates this morning. There are a couple of steps to complete before the actual names are released for both Board elections.
Just got confirmation on the SCHOA candidates and aggie is right, there are more people running than there are open spots. Of course the proof will come election day and how many of them are still interested. It's kind of a right of passage in Sun City, folks get all hyped and then when the time comes they pull the plug.
It appears there's at least one very interesting character running for the SCHOA board. Amazing what you can find about people on the internet.
